Fried Rice
This Fried Rice recipe is sure to be a staple at your household after you've tried it.
Ingredients (2–3 servings):

2 cups cooked rice (preferably a day old, cold rice works best)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or sesame oil for more flavor)

2 eggs, lightly beaten

1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn, or bell peppers)

2 green onions, chopped (optional)
-
2–3 tablespoons soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional, for richer taste)
-
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
-
½ teaspoon ginger, grated (optional)
-
Salt & pepper to taste
(If you want it non-veg: add chicken, shrimp, or beef strips; for vegetarian/vegan: keep it with veggies or add tofu.)
Instructions:

Prepare the Rice

Use cold, leftover rice (fluffy and not sticky). If using fresh rice, spread it out to cool before frying.

Cook the Eggs

Heat ½ tablespoon oil in a large pan or wok.

Scramble the eggs until just cooked, then remove and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables

Add another tablespoon of oil.

Toss in garlic (and ginger, if using) and stir for 30 seconds.

Add your mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.

Add Rice
-
Push veggies to the side of the pan.

Add the rice, breaking up clumps. Stir well to combine.

Season

Pour in soy sauce (and oyster sauce if using).

Stir-fry everything together until the rice is evenly coated.

Add Eggs & Finish
-
Return the scrambled eggs to the pan.

Mix well and cook for another 1–2 minutes.

Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more soy sauce.

Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
