Ground Beef Tacos
Ingredients:
For the beef filling:

1 lb (450g) ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp chili powder
-
1 tsp ground cumin
-
1 tsp smoked paprika
-
½ tsp dried oregano
-
½ tsp salt (or to taste)

¼ tsp black pepper
-
¼ cup tomato sauce (or 2 tbsp tomato paste + splash of water)

¼ cup water (if needed to loosen the sauce)
For serving:

8 small taco shells (soft or crunchy)
-
Shredded lettuce
-
Diced tomatoes
-
Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your choice)
-
Sour cream
-
Salsa or hot sauce
-
Chopped cilantro or green onions (optional)

Lime wedges
🔥 Instructions:

Cook the Beef:

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned (5–6 minutes).

Drain excess grease if needed.

Add Onion & Garlic:
-
Add chopped onion and garlic to the beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.

Season the Meat:

Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Add tomato sauce and a splash of water if too thick.

Simmer on low for 5 minutes until everything is well combined and flavorful.

Prepare the Toppings:

While beef simmers, warm your taco shells and prep the toppings.

Assemble the Tacos:

Spoon the beef mixture into taco shells.

Top with lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and any extras you like.
