1. Roast Turkey with Herb Butter
Ingredients:
- Whole turkey (10-12 lbs)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Mix butter, herbs, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Loosen turkey skin and spread herb butter under and over the skin.
- Roast turkey, basting occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
2. Classic Stuffing
Ingredients:
- 10 cups cubed bread (day-old works best)
- 1 cup butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 3 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Sauté onion and celery in butter until softened.
- Toss with bread cubes, herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually add broth until moist but not soggy.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden.
3. Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
- 5 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Boil potatoes until tender. Drain and mash.
- Heat cream and butter, then mix into potatoes.
- Stir in sour cream, salt, and pepper.
4. Green Bean Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix soup, milk, and seasoning. Stir in green beans and half the fried onions.
- Transfer to a casserole dish and bake for 25 minutes.
- Top with remaining onions and bake for 5 more minutes.
5. Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients:
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
- Let cool before serving.
6. Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup evaporated milk
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Whisk together pumpkin, sugar, spices, eggs, and milk.
- Pour into pie crust and bake for 15 minutes.
- Reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 40-50 minutes.
