Cinnamon Roll Pull-Apart Toast
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of brioche or white bread
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk (or more, depending on desired consistency)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Prepare the bread:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the loaf of bread horizontally and vertically, without cutting all the way through, creating cubes that are still attached at the bottom.
Mix the cinnamon filling:
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
Assemble the pull-apart toast:
- Carefully spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture between the cuts of the bread. Make sure to get the mixture into all the nooks and crannies.
- If using, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts into the slits of the bread as well.
Bake:
- Wrap the loaf loosely in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is warm and the cinnamon mixture is bubbly.
Make the glaze:
- While the bread is baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create a smooth glaze. Add more milk for a thinner consistency if desired.
Glaze and serve:
- Remove the bread from the oven and drizzle the glaze generously over the top.
- Serve the pull-apart toast warm, allowing everyone to pull apart pieces of the sweet, cinnamon-flavored bread.
Enjoy your Toast, and please comment.
