Cinnamon Roll Pull-Apart Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of brioche or white bread
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (or more, depending on desired consistency)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the bread:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Slice the loaf of bread horizontally and vertically, without cutting all the way through, creating cubes that are still attached at the bottom.
  2. Mix the cinnamon filling:

    • In a bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Assemble the pull-apart toast:

    • Carefully spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture between the cuts of the bread. Make sure to get the mixture into all the nooks and crannies.
    • If using, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts into the slits of the bread as well.
  4. Bake:

    • Wrap the loaf loosely in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
    • Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is warm and the cinnamon mixture is bubbly.
  5. Make the glaze:

    • While the bread is baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create a smooth glaze. Add more milk for a thinner consistency if desired.
  6. Glaze and serve:

    • Remove the bread from the oven and drizzle the glaze generously over the top.
    • Serve the pull-apart toast warm, allowing everyone to pull apart pieces of the sweet, cinnamon-flavored bread.
Enjoy your Toast, and please comment.
